What is Spark?
Spark is the section of the program that is for Preschool thru 2nd Grade. In these years our goal is to spark the interest in our faith with hands on lessons using multi media and other outlets.
Meet The Team
I'm the Mom of a very busy girl. I love children, and teaching them to love God. In my spare time, we love to camp, spend time with family, and make memories to last a lifetime.
I enjoy teaching the children every Sunday. It is awesome to see how Jesus works thru each of them. Jesus simply asks for us to have childlike faith and my faith has grown from them. “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3
Mom of Riley. Enjoys music, theater, shopping, Cardinal baseball and reading. Love being a Sunday School teacher to our kindergartners, putting a spark of Jesus in their lives. Philippians 4:13.
1st & 2nd
When my daughter was a toddler I started helping with the Sunday School program at our small church. I enjoyed bringing Jesus to the kiddos through play, song and crafts. We came to Immanuel and I was a little overwhelmed by the size of the community here. Our first year was quite a transition. I have been blessed to get to know so many families teaching Sunday school. The 1st and 2nd grade children have given me the opportunity to really discuss Jesus with them and we can still play, sing and create together. Our Sunday school families and teachers truly are amazing and I look forward to many years to come!
1st & 2nd
I grew up North Carolina, but became a Missourian in 2005 when my husband, Derrick, and I relocated to St. Charles. I am "Mom" to two daughters - Caroline, a freshman at St. Charles High, and Katy, a 2nd grader at Immanuel Lutheran School. In addition to the joy of teaching Sunday School and being involved in my faith community, I also enjoy volunteering as a Girl Scout troop leader and being outdoors with my family. Most of all, I love Jesus and want to teach little children how much Jesus loves them too!
